Every player and team owner agrees to these rules when registering. Rule numbers are used to settle questions on match days.
Registration & eligibility
The player registration fee is ₹300 per player. Jersey and food are provided by the committee.
Twenty teams will play. A team is confirmed only after the organising committee accepts its registration.
Each team may include one icon player, open to players from all over Kerala. All other players are non-icon.
A player can register with one team only. A player found in two squads will be removed from both.
Every player must carry a valid photo ID card on match days and show it when asked.
All details given in the form must be correct. False information can lead to disqualification of the player or the team.
Match rules
Matches are played with a medium weight tennis ball.
Each innings is 5 overs, bowled by up to 5 bowlers.
The organising committee prepares the fixtures. Teams must be at the ground on time for every match.
A team that does not report on time may forfeit the match, at the committee's decision.
The umpires' decision on the field is final. Appeals and disputes go to the organising committee, never to the umpires on the field.
Awards
Hero of the Match, Best Batsman and Best Bowler are awarded in every match.
Non Icon MVP, Non Icon Batsman and Non Icon Bowler are open to non-icon players only.
Most Sixes, Most Fours, Best Catch and Best Keeper are awarded at the end of the tournament.
Winners are chosen by the organising committee, and its decision is final.
Conduct & general
Players must wear the official tournament jersey in every match.
Abuse or misbehaviour towards players, umpires, officials or spectators will lead to action, including removal from the tournament.
Alcohol, tobacco and other intoxicants are not allowed on the ground.
Team owners are responsible for the behaviour of their players and supporters.
Matches will be streamed live on YouTube. Players agree to be filmed and photographed during the tournament.
The committee may change the schedule because of weather or other reasons outside its control. On any matter these rules do not cover, its decision is final.
