By registering, every player and franchise agrees to these rules. The organising committee may add match-day instructions on the ground.
Player registration
- The player fee is ₹350 and includes food and one tournament jersey.
- Registration is complete only after the organisers confirm they have received the fee.
- Each player registers once and plays for one franchise only.
- Registration closes when all 144 player places are filled, or earlier if the organisers announce it.
- Carry a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, driving licence or college ID). The organisers may check it at the ground.
- The fee is not refunded after payment, unless the organisers cancel the tournament.
- Wrong or borrowed details can lead to disqualification, with no refund.
Franchises
- The franchise fee is ₹6,000 per franchise.
- Each franchise names one owner or manager, who speaks for the team on all match-day matters.
- Squads are drawn from the registered player pool. The organisers announce how squads are formed, including the All Kerala Icon category, before the tournament.
- A franchise that is not ready with its squad at the announced time can lose its place.
Match format
- Matches are played with a soft ball supplied by the organisers.
- Each innings is 5 overs.
- A team must use 5 different bowlers, and each bowler bowls one over. No bowler bowls a second over.
- The league leads to semi-finals and a final. The organisers publish the fixtures before the first day.
- A tied match is decided by a super over.
- Teams report to the ground 30 minutes before their match. A team that is not ready 15 minutes after the scheduled start forfeits.
- Umpires run every match, and their decision on the field is final.
